General Description
Location: Hellevoetsluis is located on the SW side of Voorne Island and the Maas Estuary.
General overview: The port has the following 4 harbours: Heliushaven, Haaven, Koopvaardijhaven and Tramhaven. These provide facilities primarily for yachts and pleasure craft. However Tramhaven can also accommodate small general cargo vessels. Hellevoetsluis has two locations: the "Canal Harbour" in the canal and the "Heliushaven". In the canal the vessels are sheltered behind the lock. Vessels moor in Heliushaven at the head of the E-pier, in Canal Harbour they moor in a free-box.
Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
Max size: Tramhaven: Vessels up to 2,000DWT. Max draught 3.5m.
