Location: The Port of Mo I Rana is situated in Nordland county's Rana municipality.
General overview: The Port of Mo I Ranais an industrial port and one of only two designated free ports in the country. With direct connections to the main railway network, the port is operational year-round and offers two quays for vessel docking.
The fjord is deep and well marked, with anchorages available at depths between 11-44m. Aasvaer Lighthouse serves as the pilot embarkation point, and pilots may suggest alternate anchorage options if needed.
The port primarily deals with exports of iron ore, steel, ferrochrome, and ferro Silisium, while imports include iron ore for export and materials for the ferro industry.
