General Description
Location: The Port of Aaheim is situated on the NW coast of Norway in Vanylvs Fjord.
General overview: The Port of Aaheim is a well-sheltered, ice-free port which benefits from natural protection from the islet of Torvholmen to the west and the mainland to the south and east.
The port is a major exporter of olivine, silica, clays, and feldspathics. Approximately 5,000,000 tons of these commodities are consumed worldwide each year, with half of that amount being exported from Aaheim.
