Location: Penzance is located at the head of Mount's Bay. General overview: The harbour area is enclosed by the South Pier and Albert Pier covering 4ha and a wet dock area of 1.4ha. The South Pier is the container berth used by local vessels trading to the Scilly Isles. Traffic figures: Approx 15,000t of cargo and 125,000 passengers are handled at the port annually. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Wet Dock: LOA 90m, beam 14.8m, draught 5.4m.
