General Description
Location: The terminal is located in the Emirate of Sharjah approx 7.5nm NW of Hamriyah. General overview: The terminal consists of a shore tank with related onshore facilities, an offshore loading berth composed primarily of a single point mooring buoy (SPM) and a 30in submarine pipeline which runs from the shore tank to the loading berth. The shore tank is located outside the village of Hamriyah on the coastline between Umm al Qaiwain and Ajman in approx position 25°29.5'N 055°30.7'E. The loading berth is located in 21.6m of water and is situated in an open and unsheltered roadstead approx 7.6nm offshore on a bearing of 308° from the shore tank in approx position 25°34.5'N 055°24.1'E.
The terminal is owned by BP Sharjah and is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, weather and other circumstances permitting. Vessels are loaded and unmoored at any hour, weather and other circumstances permitting. Vessels are moored during daylight hours only, weather and other circumstances permitting.
