General Description
Location: Soroosh Terminal, formerly known as "Cyrus or Syrus Terminal", is an artificial, single tanker mooring in the central northern Persian Gulf, situated approx 50nm WSW of Kharg Island. General overview: Loading at the terminal takes place from a floating storage unit (FSU) "Soreena", which is attached from aft to a SBM, and can export to tankers of up to 300,000DWT in a bow-to-bow tandem mooring arrangement. Water depth in the vicinity of the FSU is 40-45m. The FSU has a storage capacity of 2,200,000bbls of crude oil, and is connected to a pipeline from the Soroosh Oil Field, situated some 43nm W of Kharg Island. The current production of this field is approx 60,000bbls/day with an estimated capacity of 100,000bbls/day. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: No limitations on draught or LOA, max 300,000DWT.
