Location: Isdemir is situated 7nm N of Iskenderun. General overview: The port, part of Iskenderun Outer Port, serves Iskenderun Iron and Steel Works, for which it was specially built. Iron ore, coal, oil and general cargoes are imported; finished products are exported. İsdemir Port is the Mediterraneans largest bulk solid and general cargo port. Located at the İskenderun Gulf, 22 km to İskenderuns city center and 4 km to the motorway and E91 highway, the Port is connected directly to the national railway system.
