General Description
Location: The Port of Takuma is situated on the Inland Sea coast of Shikoku, in Kagawa Prefecture, facing Honshu.
General overview: The Port of Takuma handles timber, general cargo, containers, and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) and propane.
There are three anchorage berths for the discharge of logs located within 0.5 miles of Mitamaiwa Beacon. Berth A can accommodate vessels up to 11m depth, Berth B up to 10m depth, and Berth C up to 8m depth. These berths are exposed to strong N winds.
There is also a large timber pond near to the public wharves.
