Location: Vada is situated about 1.5nm SSE of the mouth of the Fiume Fine, N of Livorno. General overview: The port of Vada is a very small harbour port which has two berths for the delivery of raw materials and exporting chemicals used and produced by private plants nearby, handling soda carbonate, bagged or in bulk and liquid cargoes. A concrete pier extends SW from the shore protected from the N by a stone breakwater parallel to it and a curved breakwater to the S. An LPG pier extends 1,500m W from the root of the N breakwater.
