General overview: Milazzo is primarily an oil refinery port, with a total quayage of approx 2,200m, two jetties offering 8 berths for crude, products and LPG. The harbour handles ferries, dry cargoes, transhipments and bunkers. Milazzo has an year-round ferry connection with the ports of Lipari, Panarea, Salina, Alicudi, Filicudi, Stromboli, and Vulcano. Milazzo is the main departure point for ferries to Italian mainland destinations such as Naples as well at the Aeolian Islands. Traffic figures: Approx 16,000,000t of cargo and 943,300 passengers handled annually. Load line zone: Summer.
