Location: Zawia Terminal is situated approximately 50km W of Tripoli. Alternatively known as Azzawiya. General overview: There is an oil terminal and refinery situated close to Sidi Nasr. The 2 SBM and 1 CBM berths are in the open sea and cargo operations may be interrupted by adverse weather, particularly during winter months. The port is operated by the National Oil Corporation of the Socialist Peoples Libyan Arab Jamahyria. Traffic figures: Approx 130 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Summer.
