General Description
Location: The Juaymah Crude Terminal and Juaymah LPG Terminal, operated by Saudi Aramco, are located in proximity to the Ras Tanura Terminal, serve as sub ports within the area.
Juaymah Crude Terminal:
Situated approximately 18 miles NNW of the Ras Tanura Terminal and 7 miles offshore, the Juaymah Crude Terminal serves as a loading facility for Saudi Aramco crude oil and bunker fuel. It is specifically designed for deep draft tankers, with a maximum arrival draft of 21.3 meters. The terminal comprises the following key components:
- Oil Platform
- Control Platform
- Single Point Mooring (SPM) System (consisting of 6 SPMs) for receiving crude oil and bunkers via one bunker and two crude oil submarine pipelines from the oil platform.
Juaymah LPG Terminal:
The Juaymah LPG Terminal is responsible for loading Refrigerated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (RLPG) onto LPG carriers ranging in size from 25,000 to 200,000 DWT. The loading platform features a central tower crane, while a helicopter landing platform and two small flares are situated near the seaward end of the 10 km trestle. The terminal handles Butane and Propane products.
