Location: The port of Gemlik, sometimes referred to as Gemport, is located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Gemlik, in the Sea of Marmara. General overview: Gemlik port consists of the Municipality Pier, BP Tanker jetty, Gemport container/Ro-Ro berths and Tugsas Fertiliser factory berths. Traffic figures: Approx annual traffic figures are: Gemport: Dry bulk 588,887t, general cargo 42,113t, containers 204,893TEU, 96,261 vehicles and approx 800 vessels. BP Tanker Liquid bulk 183,698t and approx 110 vessels. Berth: Municipality Dry bulk 390,000t and approx 215 vessels. Berth: Tugsas Berth Dry bulk 934,717t, bulk liquid 193,161t and approx 275 vessels. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Gemport: LOA 230m, beam 32m, draught 12.0m. Tugsas: LOA 210m, draught 12.0m, 40,000DWT. Largest vessel handled: 57,000DWT.
