General Description
Location: Botas (Ceyhan) Oil Terminal is located on the northern shore of Iskenderun Bay, approx 20nm N of Iskenderun. General overview: The terminal, which should not be confused with Botas Natural Gas Terminal (41°0'N 027°59'E), exports crude oil transported by pipeline from northern Iraq. The terminal comprises a steel pile jetty extending from the shore for 0.55nm SE then 0.55nm S. Two loading platforms, known as Platform "A" and Platform "B" on the outer part of the jetty, provide 4 tanker berths. Each berth has 4 loading arms. Traffic figures: Approx 5,609,500t of cargo and 125 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Max LOA 355m, draught 23.0m. Max freeboard (from manifold to sea level) is 22.0m.
