General Description
Location: The Ras Al Khair Port (also known as Ras Al Zour) is situated on the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, 60 km north of Jubail.
General Overview: The Ras Al Khair Port is a modern industrial port that plays a crucial role in the local economy. It serves as a key link to various public and private sector projects and is strategically located near Ras Al Khair Industrial City. The port's direct rail connections to the country's mines enable the export of raw materials worldwide.
As part of the North Promise Project "wa'ad alshamal," the port has recently expanded with new berths, commissioned by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to support industrial companies in Ras Al Khair. The port's facilities cater to over 80 industrial projects in Ras Al Khair, with significant investments exceeding 100 billion Saudi Riyals. It serves as a vital export hub for the industrial complex, handling millions of tons of products and facilitating the import of building materials and specialized equipment.
The port comprises 14 berths with a total length of 3711 meters, accommodating a range of cargo types. Fenders, mooring buoys, and specific handling equipment are available at each berth, such as conveyor belts for phosphate cargo, loading and unloading cranes for ammonia and tar, and equipment for alumina and petroleum coal.
The berths are allocated as follows: 4 for bulk cargoes, 5 for general cargoes, and 3 for liquid and bulk cargoes. Two berths remain unallocated.
