General Description
Location: Kavkaz is situated in southern Russia, on the Kerch-Yenikale Straight between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
General overview: The port is generally ice free throughout the year and provides quick and convenient access to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean sea markets for crude oil, light oil products, lube oils, petrochemicals and fuel oil.
The port also handles Ro-Ro passenger ferry traffic to Kerch, motor transport, mineral fertilisers in bags and other packaged cargoes.
Traffic figures: Approx 2,023 vessels, 8,225,000t of cargo and 152,800 passengers handled annually.
