Location: The Batangas International Port is located in the southern part of Luzon Island, opposite the northern shore of Mindoro Island, approximately 120km south of Manila. General overview: The Batangas International Port, operated by Philippine Ports Authortiy (PPA), serves as a gateway for travelers visiting nearby islands. It primarily caters to passengers from the Calabarzon Region (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), although travelers from Manila also frequent the port. The port comprises two major terminals—one for passengers and the other for cargo and shipping. The bay offers favorable anchorage, though vessels may be exposed to southerly weather conditions. The port is equipped to handle various types of vessels, including passenger/Ro-Ro, general cargo vessels, tankers, and both domestic and international bulk and break bulk cargoes. Load line zone: China Sea Seasonal Tropical Area Tropical: (Jan 21 to Apr 30) Summer: (May 1 to Jan 20) The maximum size of vessels accommodated at the port is a maximum draught of 15m. VLCCs up to 320,000 DWT can be berthed at Shell Sea Island, and large container vessels can utilize two new berths.
