Location: Macabalan is a barangay (small town unit) situated in the government port of Cagayan de Oro. It is the regional area of Region X (10). Cagayan de Oro City is 2km inland and the capital of Misamis Oriental. A highway links Cagayan de Oro directly with Butuan, Iligan and Davao. The port district is within Misamis Oriental and Camiguin province, Philippines. General overview: The port covers 7 municipal ports and 10 private ports. It handles containerised/non-containerised; incoming cargoes of steel, cement, bottled cargoes, fuel oil, and outgoing cargoes of copra, coco lumber, banana, lanzones, empty bottles/drums. Traffic figures: Approx 2,600,000t of cargo annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Maximum permissible draught along the 80m N quay part is 8.5m and to 13m along the rest of the quay.
