Location: Hamina is situated in the Gulf of Finland, approx 75nm from Helsinki and 36km from the Russian border.
General overview: The Port of Hamina is a considered multifunctional port, as it handles dry, general, containerized cargo and liquid bulk (oil, LPG, chemicals).
Cargoes:
- Exports are forest products; paper, board, pulp, plywood and sawn timber.
- Imports include coal, chemicals, minerals and oil products.

- Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length
- Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length
- Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31
- Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
