Location: The Port of Bintulu is situated on the island of Borneo in the central region of Sarawak. General overview: The Port of Bintulu is a deep seaport with various terminals, including Bintulu Terminal with two SBMs, an outer LNG Harbor, an inner general cargo harbor, an inner Palm Oil Harbor, and the berths in the old port of Bintulu. It is capable of handling all types of cargo, including liquid, bulk, general, and containers, with high efficiency. The port mainly deals with bulk exports, including LNG (7 trains), LPG, crude oil, fertilizer, sawn timber, urea, palm oil, and petroleum products. Handling Equipment: - RTGs - Quay Cranes - Mobile Cranes - Conveyor Belts - Floating Cranes Storage: - Open Yards - Warehouses - Transit Sheds - Oil & Gas Tanks Traffic figures: Approx 7,600 vessels, 41,700,000t of cargo and 251,000TEU handled annually. The majority of the cargo consists of LNG, LPG, crude oil, palm oil, and petroleum products.
