Location: San Nicolas Bay is located 15km E of Oranjestad on the island of Aruba. General overview: The port, operated by Valero Aruba Refining Co, has a refinery and is primarily an import and transhipment port for tankers up to ULCC size, also exports of refined products. Sulphur and petcoke are handled in bulk. The main berthing facilities consisst of three finger piers, a sulphur berth, petcoke berth and two reef berths,120m offshore. There are 60 storage tanks with a total capacity of approx 12,000,000bbls. Traffic figures: Approx 360 vessels are handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Reef Berths: LOA 426.8m, draught 30.4m (Berth No 2), Unlimited DWT (Berth No 2). Finger Pier No 3 South: LOA 274m, draught 12.2m, 90,000DWT. HDS Berth: LOA 213m, draught 9.6m, 50,000DWT. Coke Berth: LOA 243m, draught 12.5m, 75,000DWT.
