General Description
Location: St Michiel's Bay is located on the S coast of Curacao, 8km W of Willemstad. General overview: St Michiel's Bay is an open bay with good protection from prevailing winds and the sea. There is a mooring buoy, approx 200m off the shoreline, which is utilised as an anchoring facility for large vessels with dangerous cargoes and for carrying out underwater cleaning and minor repairs. Repairs and cargo handling are affected by the use of barges. All services are arranged via Willemstad. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Approx 350,000DWT.
