General Description
Location: Bajo Grande is situated on the W shore of Lake Maracaibo. General overview: The port handles crude oils, refined products, fuel oils, gas and diesel oils. Bajo Grande consists of several platforms connected to form a concrete island in a N/S direction. Two vessels can be accommodated at Berth No 1 on the E side and Berth No 2 on the W side of the terminal. The natural gas liquids terminal stands 1nm S of the oil terminal. It consists of a platform and 4 mooring dolphins with a berth on the E side. Traffic figures: Approx 80 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Max draught 12.2m, 105,000DWT, no beam restriction.
