Location: Bushehr (or Bushire) is situated on the SW coast of Iran on the Persian Gulf. General overview: An expanding dry cargo port in the central Persian Gulf region with seven berths for special economic zones (SEZ), general and oil products. There is a lightering service but the discharge of cargo to barges is now rare. Traffic figures: Approx 3,150,000t of cargo and 580 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Max LOA 200m, beam 40m, max draught 7.3m, 25,000DWT at bulk cargo jetty, 7.5m at tanker berth and 4.5m at chemical jetty.
