General Description
Location: Tetney Marine Terminal is an SPM situated at the entrance to the River Humber, 1.7nm S of Spurn Head on the E coast of England. General overview: A lighted mooring buoy, known as Tetney Monobuoy, lies in an open roadstead. It is used by large tankers, up to 15.2m draught, for discharging crude oil. A 3nm 36in submarine pipeline runs SW from the buoy to the shore tanks at Tetney Haven Oil Terminal (COTH). Traffic figures: An annual total of 8,400,000t of crude oil is discharged. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Vessels must comply with the following requirements: 1. Min Summer DWT 50,000t 2. Max Summer DWT 150,000t 3. Max Displacement 165,000t 4. Max draught 15.2m 5. Max bow to manifold (BCM) 158.5m.
