General Description
Location: The Port of Kopervik is situated on the island of Karmøy in Rogaland county
General Overview: The Port of Kopervik serves as a pivotal transportation center for scheduled boats heading north to Bergen and south to Stavanger. The port's main industry is fishing.
The port's outer harbor offers secure anchorage for large vessels and features three oil bunkering quays with depths ranging from 5 to 8 meters.
The harbor operates throughout the year, providing a safe haven for weather-bound ships and those seeking orders. The port's loading and unloading operations for general cargo ships last 24 hours, whereas those for bulk cargo ships only run from 07:00 to 16:00.
Today, it is one of the few remaining unloading stations in Norway. The oil tanker berths serve solely as refueling berths for coastal vessels.
