General Description
Location: The Port of Husnes is situated in Husnesfjord, on the southern shore of the Hardangerfjorden on the Folgefonna peninsula in Vestland county, on the west coast of Norway.
General overview: The Port of Husnes is protected from the west by Bogeneset and is open to the north. The main industries are shipbuilding, agriculture, and aluminum production, with primary customer Sor-Norge Aluminium A/S.
The port belongs to the Bergen customs district and has a main quay measuring 240m long and 16.5m deep at the north end and 10.5m deep at the south end.
Quay 2 is 50m long and includes a ro/ro ramp with a depth of 8.5m.
