General overview: The King Fahad Industrial Port Yanbu as one of Saudi Arabia's most crucial seaports, boasts a natural harbor spanning 25km and is shielded from the open sea by an offshore barrier reef running parallel to the coast. Serving as the largest outlet for crude and refined petroleum as well as petrochemicals on the Red Sea coast, it plays a vital role in facilitating the export of Saudi Arabia's petroleum and petrochemical products.
The port encompasses a total of eight terminals, of which seven are operational. These terminals are categorized as follows (from north to south): General cargo and Container Terminal, Bulk Terminal, Export Refinery Terminal (including Chemical Terminal), Crude Oil Terminal, NGL Terminal, Yanbu Refinery Terminal - LPG, Local Refinery Terminal, and Ras al Ma'ajjiz Terminal (non-operational).
