General Description
Location: The terminals, including DTSE/GEGUA OIl Terminal and the LNG Terminal, are located in Guanabara Bay, as are the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi.
General overview: Guanabara Bay Marine Terminal (TABG) comprises five facilities; Main and Secondary Piers, Ilha Redonda Pier, Ilha d’Agua Barge Pier and the LNG Pier. Facilities are linked to Ilha d’Agua and then to the mainland (Duque de Caxias Refinery-Reduc) by submarine pipelines. Handles crude, products, LPG and LNG. Operated by Transpetro PetrobrasTransporte SA.
The terminal comprises 5 mooring berths. The management and operational sections, control room, tanks, etc are located on Ilha D'Agua and Ilha Redonda (LPG). All berths are linked by submarine pipelines to Ilha D'Agua which in turn is connected to the Duque de Caxias Refinery (REDUC) through pipelines. The terminal is formed of 3 piers, designated as follows: Main Pier (PP) Consists of 2 berths. The outside berth (PP-1) and inside berth (PP-2). Located in 22° 49.1'S 043°09.1'W. Secondary Pier Consists of 2 berths. Outside berth (PS-1) and inside berth (PS-2). Located in 22°38.2'S 043°09.1'W. Ilha Redonda has a single berth (IR). Located in 22°48.1'S 043°07.2'W. Pier.

Anchorages: Guanabara Bay is exceptionally sheltered from most winds in the region. There are several areas where anchoring is prohibited due to the existence of submarine pipelines or cables, and it is prohibited to anchor near TABG.

Max. size: Outside Berth (PP-1): Able to receive tankers up to 135,000DWT limited to 15.85m max draught.
Max size: LNG vessels: Q-Flex size, fully loaded 266,000m³.
