General Description
Location: Tanjung Intan, also known as Cilacap is situated on the S coast of Java. General overview: Tanjung Intan is the capital of Kabupaten Cilacap, an area in central Java province. It is the most important harbour on this coast with the best anchorage for the whole stretch of coast; vessels can lie in safety during both monsoons. The port has an SBM, oil terminal and four separate berths for general and bulk cargoes. Crude oil and LPG are handled as well as cement and fertiliser. Bunkers and provisions are available. Traffic figures: Approx 21,000,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Tanker berth: LOA 250m, draught 13.2m, 100,000DWT. SBM: LOA 334m, draught 24m, 300,000DWT.
