The shipping platform

Location: Balongan is located 14km ESE of Indramaju, approx 35km from Cirebon. General overview: Balongan Oil Terminal consists of three SBM's and a group of four mooring buoys for a conventional mooring. A small harbour, protected by two breakwaters extending 200m from the shore, lies in front of a tank farm at the inshore end of the pipeline from Arimbi Field. Balongan Lightbuoy (safe water) is moored 9.5nm NNE of the inshore end of the pipeline mentioned above. Export SBM (Balongan Terminal) is moored 7nm NE of Balongan. It is joined by a pipeline and a light is exhibited from it. Domestic SBM and the Conventional Buoy Moorings are moored 4nm and 2.5nm respectively SW of Export SBM. Traffic figures: Approx 261 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Offshore: LOA 290m, draught 16.4m, 150,000DWT.
