General Description
Location: Jose Terminal is located W of Pozuelos Bay on the NE coast of Venezuela, 27km W of Puerto La Cruz. General overview: Jose Terminal comprises monobuoys, sea islands and jetties within the Bajo de Barcelona. Many of these also have exclusion areas. There may also be many unlit mooring buoys, construction equipment and other obstructions. Petrozuata CA operate the export loading facility for Zuata 16 crude oil which is a six-legged CALM monobuoy, located 3.5nm N of Jose Industrial complex and 15nm WSW of Puerto La Cruz. The loading facility is an open roadstead with little protection from the prevailing weather. PDVSA operate a facility for liquid gas comprising of a finger pier with mooring dolphins and 2 berths, and also operate a monobuoy which handles crude, MDO and GLP. Load line zone: Tropical.
