General Description
Location: The Dhuba Bulk Plant Terminal is located in the northern part of the Red Sea near Dhuba.
General overview: The Dhuba Bulk Plant Terminal is a facility equipped with one berth and multiple product loading facilities. It is primarily involved in the receipt of diesel oil and gasoline.
The terminal features a tank farm situated adjacent to the facility, which provides storage capacity for diesel oil (210,000 barrels) and gasoline (120,000 barrels). The berth utilizes a Multi Buoy Mooring (MBM) system and is exclusively used for discharging vessels.
To connect the terminal with the shore facilities, pipelines of 12-inch diameter extend from the tank farm onto a causeway, where they are connected to two floating hoses.
However, it is important to note that berth utilization is limited due to various factors, including potential delays caused by adverse weather conditions as the terminal is exposed to the open sea.
Additionally, the terminal operates with daylight pilotage only.
The berth facilities are equipped with mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins, and interconnecting walkways.
Upon berthing, a Saudi Aramco inspector will board the vessel to discuss the discharge operation with the relevant parties.
