Location: Cherry Point is located, close to Ferndale, on the NW coast of the USA in the state of Washington, close to the Canadian border. General overview: The area consists of three terminals, the BP Terminal has two berths, principally used by tankers for receipt of crude oil, and the shipment of petroleum products. There is also the ConocoPhillips Refinery with a crude oil discharge berth and barge loading berths, also Alcoa Intalco Aluminium works with an alumina and LPG berth. There are proposals to construct a coal export facility on land between the BP Terminal and the Aluminium Works. Load line zone: Summer zone. Max size: BP Terminal: Max LOA 302m, beam 55m, 125,000DWT.
