General Description
Location: Anacortes is situated on the innermost point of the Juan de Fuca Strait in the state of Washington. It is approx 90nm from the open Pacific Ocean. General overview: A natural deep water port which has three marine terminals providing general cargo berths and tanker facilities at March Point. There are also marina facilities at Cap Sante Boat Haven. Principle cargoes handled include forest products and bulk goods. Traffic figures: Approx 450,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Beam 32.3m, draught 13.4m, 60,000DWT. Largest vessel handled: LOA 213m.
