Location: Chania (Canea/Hania) is situated on the N coast of Crete, 6 km / 4 miles to the east of Souda.
General overview: Chania is a small port for cruise ships, ferries and pleasure yachts. As one of the largest natural harbors in in Greece, it serves as a major commercial center in the region.The outer harbour, depth at entrance 5.1m, is largely unused. There a small tanker port of Agios Onoufrios nearby.
