General Description
Location: Bhavnagar is located in the Gulf of Cambay on India's NW coast.
General overview: The port lies near the head of an inlet which mostly dries. There are lock gates 21m wide near the entrance to the inlet. Cargo operations can be carried out all year long at both the jetty and anchorage.

- Imports: Rock Phosphate, Coal, Fertilizers, Scrap, Timber, etc.
- Exports: Oil cakes, Salt, Scrap, Onions, Clay, Grape Seeds, etc.

- Sheds (16,491 m3)
Vessels can take fresh water and bunkers at either the anchorage or the berth.
Traffic figures: Approx. 1,000,000t of cargo handled annually.

Vessels up to 19.8m Beam // 144m Length, can enter the port.
Larger vessels up to 12m draught can load/discharge at the anchorage.
