General Description
Location: The port of Yangjiang is located on the S Chinese coast, 200km SW of Hong Kong. It is situated in the centre of Yangjiang city, extending to Moyang River sea entrance where the Beijin operation area is situated. General overview: The port is operated by Yangjiang Harbour Administration Co which has 4 operational areas. The main export cargoes handled are, ore, cast iron, grain, fishery and general cargo. The main import cargoes are chemical fertiliser, agricultural chemical, iron and steel, coal and articles of daily use. Traffic figures: Approx 2,430,000t of cargo and 736TEU annually. Load line zone: China Sea Seasonal tropical Area. Tropical Jan 21 to Apr 30, Summer May 1 to Jan 20. Max size: Tanker Berth: LOA 230m, beam 32m, draught 12.0m HW.
