Location: Ballen is situated about 3nm N of Lushage. General overview: The harbour layout consists of an outer harbour, protected by 2 breakwaters, leading to an inner harbour comprising a small fishing harbour, with 2 small basins on either side. The entrance to the harbour, 55m in width, faces N between two breakwater heads, each marked by lights (grey mast). See also port information for Samso Island. The harbour is used mainly by fishing vessels and coasters serving the island. Max size: LOA 85m, beam 9m, draught 3.5m.
