Location: Tolkkinen-Tolkis is situated on the S coast of Finland, at the head of Svartbackinselka, approx 30NM E of Helsinki. General overview: The Port of Tolkkinen is a privately owned port, operated by Prima Shipping. It has mainly served the sawmill industry. The port consists two dry cargo berths (North Quay 154m // South Quay 63m). The port handles dry, project and general cargoes. For the operations mobile cranes are used with capacity up to 70t. Storage - Covered (20,000 m2) - Open (10,000 m2) Traffic figures: Approx. 80 vessels totaling around 90,000t cargo annually. Load line zone: - Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length - Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length. - Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31 - Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 160m // Draught 7.2m. Vessels up to 130m in length can turn.
