Location: The Port of Shingu is situated on the southeastern coast of Kii-Hanto, facing the Kumano-Nada Pacific Ocean. General overview: The Port of Shingu erves as a port for foreign trade vessels in the Kii Peninsula, as well as ferries traveling between Kawasaki and Miyazaki. The harbor is well-protected by three outer breakwaters, including North (760m), Morobe (250m), and South (150m), and two inner breakwaters numbered 1 & 2 (212m and 66m respectively). The Port of Shingu mainly handles various types of vessels such as General Cargo, Cement Carriers and Chemical Tankers.
