General Description
Location: Rio Marina is a small harbour situated on the east coast of Elba, roughly halfway between the small and shallow harbour of Cavo and Porto Azzurro.
General overview: The port consists of an outer breakwater with berths on inside wall. Rio Marina exports locally mined iron ore but is primarily a local Ro-Ro ferry port. The port is a shallow port with 2 berths, one of which has depth of up to 6.5m alongside. The port does however have an anchorage for larger vessels, in over 30m of water. The port offers 100 berths including 15 reserved for transit.
Anchor moor on the quay at the SE end of the harbour. Depths here are 3.0 - 4.0 metres. The pontoons are operated by Rio Service which also operates a small boatyard.

Max size: Draught 6.0 m, LOA: 15 m.
