General overview: The Port of Ratnagiri is considered a small port that has a fishing harbour and a Pozzocrete loading pier, for specialized vessels, handling cement, mortar and grout. The Port of Ranpar (See Separate Entry), 11km S is a private port owned by Finolex, consisting of a liquids pier and coal pier, the liquids pier is closed during the monsoon period (Jun-Sep).
