General Description
Location: Nouakchott the capital of Mauritania, is situated on the central W coast of Mauritania. General overview: The port comprises two quays, one for small vessels with draught less than 5.0m and the second for larger vessels with max draught of 10.3m. There is also an offshore Tanker CBM berth. Imports include wheat, cement, clinker, flour, sugar, semolina, milk, containers and general equipment. Exports include plaster, animal skins and fish. Traffic figures: Approx 250 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Draught 10.3m.
