General Description
Location: The Port of Misumi is situated at the eastern coastline of Kyushu Island in Kumamoto Prefecture, located at the tip of Uto Peninsula in the center of the prefecture.
General overview: The Port of Misumi is a well-sheltered harbor, surrounded by small islands that act as natural breakwaters.
The anchorage offers a safe haven with water depth reaching over 30 meters, with a muddy bottom in the east and a combination of rock, gravel, and clay in the west.
The port has four wharves available for vessels up to 10,000 DWT, with a total capacity to accommodate 26,000 gross tonnage. It features four 10000 DWT berths, two 3000 DWT berths, and one anchorage for 6000 DWT ships.
The port is equipped with a 10-ton crane, two 50-ton cranes, and four 15-ton trusses, with a total warehouse area of 28,891 square meters.
