General Description
Location: Inkoo is situated on the Bay of Fagervik, approx 60km W of Helsinki.
General overview: The Port of Inkoo is privately owned, it's divided into two harbours operated by Inkoo Shipping OY AB and Fortum's power station. Inkoo specializes in handling mostly dry bulk cargoes.
The port consists of two harbours:
- Fortum OYJ (Can accommodate vessels up to 80,000DWT)
- 2 Oil discharging arms (1,500 t/h)
- 20ha Coal Storage
Inkoo Power Station is accommodated there.
- Inkoo Shipping OY (2 berths)
A basin consisting of a 230m and a 145m quays.
- Storage: Open (20ha)
Covered (17,500 m2)
The port still operates during winter time.
Traffic figures: Approx. 400 vessels visit the port annually with approx. 1,000,000t of cargo handled.
Load line zone:
- Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length
- Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length
- Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31
- Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
