General Description
Location: The port of Ibiza is situated on the SE coast of the island of Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands.
General overview: Ibiza has 2 ports: the port of Ibiza Town on the southeast coast and the port of San Antonio on the southwest coast. A large amount of the port's traffic is made up of Ro-Ro passenger ferries and leisure craft, as the island is a major tourist area. The port consists of the Botafoc breakwater, which is used to discharge the fuel needed on the island and for large cruise ships to berth, as well as commercial and passenger quays. It also has several recreational docks with a total of 1,400 moorings for pleasure boats up to 60 m long, and can accommodate even longer mega-yatchs if needed.
The north dock is intended for boats of small and medium length. It is the most sheltered area of the harbor, which gives also access to the maintenance area for boats from 8 to 5 meters in length. The practical yard is equipped with an innovative nautical elevation system, the Forklift, which can boast up to 10 tons allowing the boats to deal with small repair and maintenance operations.
The south dock Instead, is the most exclusive area of the harbor, it is specific for moorings boats of great length, where the great Yatch stay. In between these two areas there is the entrance Boulevard, which leads to the commercial and social area of the marina.
