Location: Haimen, more recently known as Taizhou, is approx 180nm due S of Shanghai. General overview: The port's boundaries are from the line joining Sanshan Light stake and Huangqiao Light stake in the E, to the line joining Yantou, Zhuyu, Pingfengshan, Wupengyu, Zhuliyu, Luqingshan and Dadao. It has a shoreline of 47.8km in length and a water area of 865km². The main cargoes handled in the port are timber, coal, chemical fertilisers, cement, iron, steel, grain, petroleum and containers. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: LOA 150m, draught 7.0m, 5,000DWT. Tankers: Draught 5.5m.
