Location: The Es Sider Offshore Oil Terminal, located on the Gulf of Sidra, serves as a significant export hub for petroleum. General overview: The Es Sider Offshore Oil Terminal facilitates the export of petroleum through two Single Buoy Moorings (SBMs) strategically positioned at the outermost point of submarine oil pipelines. With a total capacity of 250,000 barrels per day (b/d), Es Sider is one of Libya's primary oil export terminals. The terminal primarily handles light-sweet crude grades and caters to export markets in southern Europe and China. Traffic figures: Approx. 200 vessels visit the port annually.
