General Description
Location: Dos Bocas is located in the Mexican state of Tabasco, E of Coatzacoalcos in the S part of the Bay of Campeche. Traffic figures: The port, in the town of Paraiso, is in two sections. The east harbour is the Pemex Supply Terminal, which is an important base for supplying equipment, machinery and services to the offshore oil platforms in the bay. The west harbour includes the Multi Purpose Terminal which handles cruise passengers, machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector, based in the region, as well as other cargoes to both domestic and international markets. There are also 2 single point mooring buoys (SPM's) offshore for loading crude oil for export. Traffic figures: Approx 6,000 vessels, 5,500,000t of cargo and 18,000 cruise passengers handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Cruise vessels: Draught 7.3m. SBM: Vessels up to LOA 345m, draught 21.9m, max BCM 183m, 250,000DWT, are accepted at the offshore tanker moorings.
